Palestinian teen's battle for health amid war

A 14-year-old Palestinian teenager's story cuts through the statistics of war.

A 14-year-old Palestinian teenager's story cuts through the statistics of war casualties in Gaza.

Before the zionist regime attacked Gaza, Jannat was fighting her own battle with illness, making regular trips for medical treatments that were slowly helping her regain his health and hair.

"My treatment was a hope for a better life," Jannat says, her voice carrying the weight of dreams put on hold.

Those regular injections weren't just medical procedures; they were stepping stones toward a normal life for a teenage girl who wanted to feel healthy again.

But as bombs fall and borders close, Jannat's treatment has become another casualty of the conflict.

"The war took even that away from me," she explains, adding, "Today, there's no treatment and not even hair."

Her story represents thousands of Gaza's civilian patients whose ongoing medical care has been disrupted by Israel's genocide in Gaza.

The young girl's words echo a cruel irony: while fighting to heal her body, she must also fight to survive a war – a battle no 14-year-old should face.
